Outreach Assistance
Financial Assistance for Rent or UtilitiesHelping families maintain stable housing by providing funding for rent or utilities. Clients may receive emergency help once in a 12 month period. Rent must be past due or under threat of eviction. Utilities must have a disconnect notice or payment plan in place.
Assistance appointments are scheduled Monday mornings on a first come, first serve basis beginning at 8:30am. You must call 812-423-5456, we do not accept walk-ins. |
Neighbor to NeighborA faith-based, intensive life skills education program.
Participants focus on goal setting, life skills development, and financial literacy. Upon successful completion of the course, participants earn a voucher toward their rent, utilities, or other appropriate expense or outstanding bill. |
Medical TravelHelp for families who have a child (under the age of 18) who needs to travel outside of the Evansville area for a doctor appointment or medical procedure. With proper documentation, Catholic Charities can provide up to four $40 gas gift cards within a calendar year.

Boots 4 WorkAssistance program designed to help eliminate a possible barrier to new employment. A voucher can be provided for clients to purchase work boots needed to gain employment. You must contact Catholic Charities prior to the start of work. Catholic Charities will work with you and prospective employer to verify program eligibility.
